the Ladies of Ink breast cancer benefit was last night! an auction of art created by local Montreal lady tattooers to raise funds and save boobies!
Erika’s awesome art was one of the pieces featured in the auction and the Studio Artease crew all came out to support the cause!

The Ladies of Ink show was awesome!

this is one of my favorite venues in the world: Reitschule in Bern, Switzerland. This place has two beautiful venues, with a total capacity of near 2,000, one of the best sound systems in europe, a full service restaurant, and gorgeous artist housing. They pay to put their engineers through music school, there is no boss or owner, every employee has equal say in the direction of the compound, and it has existed this way for over 20 years.

…and it is TOTALLY illegal.

When i asked an engineer at the Reitschule what they do when, every few years, the cops come to shut them down, she responded, “we lock them out”. When i followed up and asked what they do when the cops try to force their way in, she simply stated, “we fight them”.

needless to say, in 20 years, the cops haven’t won a single fight, and the Reitschule remains undefeated. (at the road)

so bad ass.
