yes! :)
Look at this fucking ART.
My incredibly talented and amazing friend Rian, (www.nicenfroosh.tumblr.com) created this masterpiece for me.
This is Kael’thas Sunstrider, Lord of the Blood Elves, Prince of Quel’thalas, Member of the Kirin’tor and the last of the Sunstrider dynasty, frustrated as hell because he can never win a free coffee with Tim Horton’s roll up the rim.
I mean look at it. It’s better than I had even hoped it could be. This is going to take pride of place in my new flat.
I can’t thank you enough Rian! Your talents continuously make my jaw drop!
Stoked you dig it :)
my instructions for this commission went as follows:
Sean: Can I get an illustration of Kael’thas Sunstrider? Oh, and make him drinking coffee, Tim Horton’s… looking kinda dejected.
Me: Ummmm… who?
Sean: Kael’thas Sunstrider, fromWoW. he’s badass.
Me: I’m gonna have to Google this dude.
Trifecta of Star Wars!
commissioned by Fisherspop. (forever en route :-/ let me know when you finally get them)
I have some leftover paintings for sale from the One Good Night artshow
Feel free to contact me if interested! I’m selling them to raise money for a tattoo machine… because I start practicing soon… eep!

May the Fourth be with you! Lando-styles.
I did this commission for a friend, and this may ruin the surprise, but you know… May the Fourth and all.
an Anon recently asked me to make a video of my drawing process, which I can’t quite do having no laptop at the moment… and because I often spend several hours spread over a few days on various drawings. So instead I made this mini photo montage of the process of a recent doodle.
So yeah. I’m probably not the best example of how to do this though, but this is what works for me. although my “technique”, if you want to call it that, is ever evolving with what I am learning.
Other pointers I have learned from Erika (who, thank murphy, is an incredibly patient teacher): Get used to drawing/tracing the same design over and over and over until you get it right. Bear in mind that what you are drawing is going on skin not flat, white paper, be aware of placement, muscles and if it flows with the body part it is going on. You can’t have tiny little finnicky details. The more details you want, the bigger the design has to be.
I’m still shitty at remembering all that, but slowly getting better. Always aspire to do better, never be satisfied with your work. TIME MANAGEMENT… I need to work on this. With a full time job it’s easy to get home pooped and not want to draw, be completely uninspired, or want to just hangout with friends. I have to manage my time better so I have a balance of both because at the moment I swing from one end to the other. Nothing but work and drawing and rushing to get more done in little time or days where I really could draw but spend it procrastinating by opting to read a book/watch a movie, sleeping all day because I took allergy meds or went to have a beer instead.
So yeah. there you have it.
